Secretary General at Union of Arab Chambers
Dr. Khaled Hanafy is the Secretary General at Union of Arab Chambers and Professor of Economics and International Business. From March 2014 to August 2016 was Minister of Supply and Internal Trade from Egypt. He was Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority and Dean of College of The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. He developed a New Food Subsidy System resulted in: achieving financial inclusion, providing a database for all transactions, enabling free choice for the beneficiary, eliminating bread queues, restructuring and improving the efficiency and the productivity of the internal trade.
Dr. Hanafy participated and headed several consultancy projects for the Arab League, for the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, World Trade Organization, United Nations, International Labor Organization and the European Union. He was also an Economic Advisor for the Egyptian Federation of Chamber of Commerce and provided consultancy services to several national and multinational organizations in different sectors such as Economics, Fiscal Logistics, Supply Chain and Transportation, Marketing, Feasibility Studies, Money & Banking, International Business, and International Finance; under the ministry of Supply and Internal Trade namely, the Egyptian Cabinet's Economic Committee, Egyptian Cabinet's Service Committee, the Egyptian Cabinet's Social Justice Committee the Egyptian Holding company for silos, the Egyptian Holding company for food industry, General Authority for supply commodities, Consumer Protection Agency, Internal Trade Development Authority, Assay and Wight's Administration and General Authority for Foreign Aid. Dr. Hanafy holds an MSc degree in Regional Development and a Ph.D. degree in International Trade.

the Arab League
Ahmed Aboul Gheit is an Egyptian politician and diplomat who has been Secretary-General of the Arab League since July 2016. Aboul-Gheit served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt from July 2004 to March 2011. Previously he was Egypt's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. He was elected Secretary-General of the Arab League in March 2016.
Aboul Gheit joined the diplomatic corps in 1965 after completing university and rose through the ranks of the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, occupying diplomatic positions in Rome, Nicosia, Moscow and New York. He participated in negotiations in 1978 of the Camp David Accords, which led to the signing of the Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty. In 1999, he was appointed Permanent Representative of Egypt to the United Nations, before being recalled to Cairo in 2004 to take the lead in diplomacy.
Aboul Gheit started his career as Third Secretary at the Embassy of Cyprus. Later he was First Secretary for Egypt's Ambassador to the United Nations, Political Consultant at the Egyptian Embassy in the Soviet Union in 1984, and Ambassador of Egypt to Italy, Macedonia, and San Marino. In 1999 he was the head of Egypt's permanent delegation to the United Nations. On 26 December 2010, Aboul Gheit opened the first Egyptian consulate outside Baghdad in the northern city of Erbil in a one-day visit to Iraq, where he also held talks with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani.
Yousef Hasan Khalawi

Mr Yousef Hassan Khalawi is Secretary General of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (ICCIA). He specializes in international investment, management and development of family businesses and subsequent investments and non-profit business.
Mr Khalawi is a Member of the Board of Directors of several companies around the world. He is chairman and a member of development, review and governance committees in a number of institutions. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration, Riyadh, since its establishment.
He is a member of the Board of Trustees of various international institutions including AAOIFI Bahrain. He has published books on investment and family business, civilization and endowments. He is a frequent lecturer around the world and a participant in many international conferences. Mr Khalawi has experience in setting regulations; developing the Islamic economy; corporate governance and non-profit institutions especially Shari’a governance; international business entities, and non-profit institutions; foundations and charitable endowments.
Egyptian Minister for Trade and Industry
Gamea was appointed Secretary-General of the Social Fund for Development (SFD) in 2016 and as CEO of the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Agency in 2017 and has been the executive director of Egypt's Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency (MSME) since 2017.
She was also chief of the central sector for funding small enterprises at the Social Fund for Development. She has wide expertise in the banking sector, beginning her career at the National Bank for Development (NBD) and the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK).
She is replacing Amr Nassar, who held the post since June 2018.
She graduated from the Faculty of Commerce at Cairo University in 1984 and holds 30 years of professional experience in economics and financial affairs. Gamea worked in the National Bank of Kuwait and the National Bank of Development (NBD), which changed its brand name to Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) in 2013.
